The combination of an 8" low frequency loudspeaker with a pedestal mounted 3" high frequency loudspeaker gives a clean, widely dispersed, full range response. The pedestal mounting design is simply acoustically cleaner with less reverberation than units featuring flat bracket mountings. The use of high temperature, aluminum voice coil forms provides good power handling capability and withstands adverse environmental conditions. The LA-200 Series utilizes a one-piece back plate construction which enhances the magnetic efficiency of the speaker motor structure.

The LA-200 Series is available in three versions:

The LA-200 contains a 4x8" loudspeaker system.
The LA-200C (Corner array) features a 2x8" system with transducers mounted adjacent to each other.
The LA-200H (Hallway array) contains a 2x8" loudspeaker system with transducers mounted parallel to each other.

Architectural Specifications

The LA-200 loudspeaker system shall be a self-contained, full range device, consisting of four 8" (20.3cm) coaxial transducers with a wide coverage pattern.
The system sensitivity shall be 97 dB spl at 1m with 1w input, measured with an input swept from 500 Hz to 2.5 kHz.
The frequency response shall be 40 Hz - 18 kHz. The crossover frequency shall be 3000 Hz.
The continuous power handling capacity shall be 80 Watts, 100 Watts peak.
Each 8" driver will be mounted in a pyramidal enclosure made of high grade polystyrene in either a flat white or black finish.
The unit is designed to fit into a standard 15/16" t-bar suspended ceiling. Its dimensions shall be 5 ¾" (14.6cm) in depth, 23 ¾" (60.3cm) in width and 23 ¾" (60.3cm) in length.
The unit will extend 4.13" (10.5cm) below the ceiling grid.
Each speaker will be mounted to the enclosure with 4 flush mounted screws.
Metal grille painted white or black will be mounted between each driver and the enclosure.
Net weight shall not exceed 16.1 lbs. (7.3 kg).
The loudspeaker system shall be a LA-200-MG, manufactured by Lansdale Amusement Company.
